Description: Sarracenia leucophylla "purple lips" is in the ancestry of numerous legendary cultivars like S. 'Saurus', 'Hot Lips', 'Caitrin Claire'. As a seed-maker it was revolutionary. As a garden plant it is stunning in September! Its sturdy, wide autumn leaves are topped with delicate pastels and white. It is not as forgiving as other Sarracenia. To get the roots to thrive, don't grow it too wet or too dry.
Pitcher Plant Care: Plant Sarracenia leucophylla in full sun to part shade outdoors. Use peat moss in a very large planter and keep it wet. It loses its leaves in the winter. Cold hardy to 20F in a pot and 0F in the ground.
All plants will ship bare root, without pots and soil.
